Discussion: Charles reminded the group of the club plan to set up a booth to promote Ham Radio. Bob said he will bring his mobile out fit and club tables to use for demonstration. Charles will bring his mobile station for 2 meter and 440 demonstration. Ed Shelby will check with Wal-mart for permission to conduct the demonstration.
Discussion: Bob announced that there are several frequencies on the Ham Bands that are operating to handle emergency traffic in and out of Haiti.
Working with these stations is a group out of Andrew Air force Base who operate a system of transmitting stations around the word to relay traffic. Some of the most active frequencies are: 14.285 mhz, 7.265 mhz and 3.977 mhz. (The Tennessee Phone net has volunteered to limit their power to 100 watts to avoid interference with the 3.977 activity)
