Old business: 

Battery Back-up  Bob talked to Rick Thompson KI4WEG about the Battery back up for the repeater. Rick has purchased and donated to the club a West Mountain Battery charge controller. We are still looking to purchase either a gel cell or AGM battery.

Ham radio public event  Charles asked about the permission to set up the event at Wal-mart. Ed Shelby stated permission had not been obtained. 

 

 

New Business

 

Elections   Our April meeting is the month  for election of new officers. By show of hands, the club elected Dwight Bevels, WB4OYG  as President and Judy McKenna WB2QXY as Secretary/treasurer.

 

Yard sale  Our spring yard sale will be held on May 8th.  We are to meet at Green Acres parking lot at 6AM to set up and the sale is from 7 to 11AM. Janice Bailey KF4ENT will check to make sure we have permission to use the Green Acres lot.

The Club will meet for lunch at La Fluente restaurant. 

 

Field day  Charles Solomon stated that Field Day will be June 26th and 27th. Charles welcomed all to come to his property to participate in the activities.

 

Mystery prize.  Bill Wiseman brought another  mystery  prize and this month's winner was Jane Plunkett, N4LKU winning an ample supply of braided ground cable!.
