New Business
Motion: This month due to the unavailability of Chew & Chat, we met for the first time at The Hickory House Restaurant. At this meeting a motion was made to decide to continue holding our meetings there. The result was unanimous in favor of. From here out we will meet in the rear dining area of Hickory House.
Motion: A motion was made to adjust the meeting times through the winter months, from 6:00PM start to a 5:00PM start. The group agreed unanimous to do this using the daylight savings time period as a marker.
Motion: A motion was made by Charles Solomon to set a date for our first VE testing session. A target of November was discussed. Ed Shelby will check on availability of his Church meeting room. Charles will request the testing materials from ARRL and confirm the target date that they require. The group agreed unanimous in favor.
Motion: A motion was by Charles Solomon and Ed Shelby to host a Ham Radio demonstration booth on the town square at the next suitable Main Street Event. Motion was passed in favor.
Motion: John Wiseman suggested that the club consider sponsoring a Ham Radio Float for the Pulaski Christmas parade this December 6th. The membership agreed to work on a float if a vehicle was available. More discussion on this at our next meeting.
Nursing Home update: Brenda will call and schedule our Christmas visit to the home on December 12th.
Club Shirts update: Ed Shelby presented catalogs and sample shirts from Shawn Promotions. The group agreed to purchase Shirt style K500P as follows:
